By completing numerous hours of training every year, we make sure to stay on top of your available benefit options to adequately advise and help you arrive at a decision that best accommodates what you need and what you can afford.

KATHLEEN O'LEARY | Independent Sales Agent 


Kathleen’s mission is to simplify your transition into the often confusing world of Medicare. She brings clarity to the entire process and guides her customers toward the best coverage options for future health care needs. While new to the Medicare insurance industry, Kathleen is not new to insurance, having helped many families prepare for their futures, representing life insurance plans for over 8 years.

 

Kathleen has spent the last 10 years helping families after the death of a loved one, which gave her the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life, with a variety of needs and requirements. Her honesty and sincerity will make you comfortable in knowing you are getting the best service possible.

 

Kathleen's background includes over 30 years of sales positions in several different industries, giving her a unique perspective and insight into what is important to her customers and how to best fulfill their needs.

Marc Derendinger is the President of A. Francois Derendinger Insurance Agency, Inc., which is located in West San Jose for the last 50 years, and provides independent advice and enrollment assistance for Medicare health plans and a diversified range of union insurance programs.

MICHAEL PERRILLIAT | Independent Sales Agent 


Michael is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, and he has worked in the Life and Health Insurance Industry for 25+ years. He is a graduate of California State University, Fresno and holds a BS Degree in Business Administration.


Michael has a servant’s heart and one of his greatest joys comes from serving others. As an Ordained Deacon, Michael stays extremely active in his community; serving families and seniors alike.


As an Independent Broker/Agent, Michael is uniquely qualified to assist you and your love ones in identifying a Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement plan that is specifically tailored just for you. Michael primary desire is to prioritize the needs of his clients first and to do that with the highest level of integrity and character. 

BETH POWANDA | Independent Sales Agent 


Beth has over 10 years of experience in financial services and risk management.  As a financial advisor and registered representative for New York Life and NYLIFE Securities, she established trusted relationships with clients by listening to their concerns and educating them about modern wealth accumulation strategies and the importance of risk management.


She was a Certified Employee Worksite Specialist for small to mid-size companies selling group and individual life and long-term care insurance plans and was awarded the Moyer Foundation’s “Volunteer for Good” for outstanding fundraising efforts on behalf of Hospice’s bereavement camps for children.

 

During her tenure as a Farmers Insurance Agent, she specialized in commercial insurance for small businesses to mitigate risk by analyzing current coverage and making appropriate recommendations to protect company assets. She consistently met and exceeded production quotas and earned several awards and recognition for profitability and outstanding sales performance.

 

In her current role as an Account Executive with Old Republic Home Protection, she offers solid home warranty industry experience to her clients, along with her energetic, dependable, dedicated, and professional work ethic. She prides herself on her excellent follow-up, communication skills, honesty and commitment to providing win-win solutions.

 

She is excited and committed to start a new chapter in her career as a Medicare specialist helping seniors navigate the often confusing and overwhelming healthcare choices and decisions available to them.

CIENA BRAJENOVICH | Independent Sales Agent


Ciena was born and raised in San Jose, California and currently resides in Santa Cruz county. She is a graduate from University of Hawaii where she received a BS degree in Entrepreneurship. 


As a licensed Medicare agent, her desire is to provide clarity for individuals in her community who are navigating the Medicare maze. Her goal is to educate, assist and support her clients all the way through the process and beyond, to make sure they make the right decision when it comes to their health care needs.


Ciena has 3+ years of experience in administrative positions and currently works as back-office support for Senior Life Matters, Inc. as well, so you may have the chance to talk to her at some point. Her hobbies include cooking, surfing, yoga, gardening and running. I'm happy to introduce Ciena as part of the Senior Life Matters team.

JULIE MONET | Independent Sales Agent


Julie is a licensed Medicare insurance agent. She has been serving clients for more than 40-years as a hairstylist and business owner. She has built a successful business in the Village of Capitola where she calls home.


Like many of her clients, friends, and family, she is at a point in her life where she's searching for answers to some very important – and life-impacting questions such as: What does retirement look like for me? How do I sign up for Medicare? Which plan is best suited for my needs?


Julie wants to help you find your answers. Medicare can be confusing to many. She is here to walk you through the process at no cost to you. She will help you find the best plan for your needs.

ALAN YOUNG | Independent Sales Agent


With nearly four decades in Retail Automotive, from sales to General Management, Alan has always believed in “Serving” his clients, during consultation, delivery, and systemic contact during their ownership experience. Many of his connections still endure. Much of his success has been referrals from his clients over time.


Now, Alan’s focus is seamlessly transitioning to Medicare. Alan’s consultative approach empowers clients in this maturing life stage. From his personal journey, aging into Medicare, his interest in education and enrollment has become a reality. Licensed in California and Hawaii, where he was born and raised, Alan is now able to channel his passion to “serve” clients in two of the most beautiful states in the country. California and Hawaii are also considered the most expensive states to reside. Alan believes in the value of Medicare and providing the best plan options can help with healthcare expenses.


Alan’s automotive background has honed his listening, understanding and tailored solutions. This foundation solidifies his Medicare strategy, prioritizing health and anticipating needs. Just as Alan matched vehicles with client desires, he will focus on matching Medicare plans to suit client’s needs and well being.

Throughout the past few years, I have watched many of my family and friends struggle to understand and navigate Medicare. Many of them enroll in plans that do not cover their needs, or don’t fit into their budget. This has made me realize the vast demand for seniors who are in need of guidance in understanding and enrolling in the Medicare plan that best suits their healthcare needs. My goal is to advocate, support, and guide individuals toward the plan most suitable for them, at a cost that is affordable. In doing so, I aim to support my clients physically and emotionally through a Medicare system that is complicated and constantly changing. My life away from work is focused on spending time with my husband of 32 years and my three adult boys.
